We all know that the COVID-19 crisis has only led to lockdowns, supply shortages, and worse, deaths. So in order to keep everyone’s morale up during this difficult time, artists came up with free virtual concerts, wherein fans can ask questions and request songs in real-time.
And recently, the singer and This Is Us actress Mandy Moore decided to also put up an at-home live concert with husband, Taylor Goldsmith. Before serenading her fans, Moore shared that the last time she performed Only Hope in front of a crowd was when she visited the Philippines—shortly after A Walk To Remember was released on the big screen.
Even though the song was originally written by Joe Foreman of Switchfoot for their 1999 album New Way to Be Human, we can all agree that Moore’s rendition really made a huge contribution to its popularity.
On Twitter, Journalist Ashley Spencer shared a clip where Moore can be seen nailing the Christian-themed song—and the Twitterverse felt like they were just transported back to 2002.
