This Too Shall Pass

Daddy goes out for food,
Why so soundless in the neighborhood?
Mom says, “This too shall pass.”

Poor families are hungry,
Where is now the promised subsidy?
This too shall pass.

Rich men and those who can afford,
Most supplies they hoard.
This too shall pass.

For in the stillness of the night,
When this pandemic catch their lives,
They too shall pass.

Displaced workers are so many.
Begging the government, please have mercy.
This too shall pass.

Community helpers now recognized.
They are the heroes of this fight.
This too shall pass.

Some wealthy ones working hand in hand
Spread kindness, reaching out.
This too shall pass.

Many express love and care to each other
Family bonds are getting stronger.
This too shall pass.

Digital age has come to its peak.
Thanks to work from home arrangements.
But this too shall pass.

While people in quarantine
Animals now are freely roaming.
Sadly, this freedom too shall pass.

Decrease of pollution is recorded
Mother Earth slowly rehabilitated.
But this too shall pass.

Humans now think of this,
Everything around is just transient,
Whatever you got consider this,
This too shall pass.
