Online user creates portrait using the ashes from the recent Taal Volcano eruption

This POP! Creators entry was submitted by CK Natividad, a student from Tomas Claudio Colleges in Morong, Rizal.

Natividad created a portrait of our national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal using the ashes from the Taal Volcano eruption that happened last January.

“On the afternoon of January 12, 2020, Taal Volcano erupted and spewed ashes. I went outside [of] our home to see the ashfall, it’s my first time to see ashes falling from above so I got some and put it in a jar. But [then] I [realized that] might misplace it if I’ll just leave it there [inside the container]. I really wanted to preserve it so I decided to make something out of it,” he explained to POP!
