Kids who grew up in the 2000s are all too familiar with the former Disney actress Lindsay Lohan. During that time, she was Hollywood’s “it girl” for teenage movies. From Freaky Friday to Mean Girls, she won the hearts of many young viewers. And when she released her own album, a lot of kids and teens couldn’t help themselves from listening to her music. Seriously, who can forget Confessions Of A Broken Heart?
Unfortunately, because of the events in her life, Lohan had to take a break from both her acting and singing career. But now, she’s coming back to the music scene with a single called Back to Me.
The Mean Girls actress took to Instagram to share the news with her fans.
“The song is about rediscovering and accepting oneself, shutting out the noise and moving forward and letting the past go. Living in the now,” Lohan wrote on the social media platform.
As of this writing, Back To Me garnered 3,538 views on YouTube and received numerous positive reviews from online users.
One of them commented, “She DESERVED a real come back on [the] chart, mode and movies. She is great, she is powerful, I remember her hard time in the press and the media 6/7 years ago. Now she is healthy, she is happy with herself and in peace. She is just like all human, everybody makes mistake, party hard, sometimes do drugs but not in front of the camera all the time like her. I always support her cause I know she can conquer the world AGAIN. This track is iconic by the way.”
Another person shared, “After everything she went through, she came back strong, beautiful, happy and with a great song, this is so emotional and inspiring 😭 congrats Lindsay Lohan 👏🏻😻❤️.”
While one other online user noted how the release seemed timely– “Lindsay Lohan releasing new music in a deadly pandemic is the most Lindsay Lohan thing ever.”
