If there’s one thing that social distancing or quarantine has given us, it is time.
However, when we have way too much of it on our hands, we can’t help but get bored and start to have cravings for specific food items. Whatever the science is behind this, it almost feels like a cycle that we just can’t break. That’s why when the entire Luzon region was placed under (enhanced) community quarantine, everyone was forced to stay home, cancel plans, avoid social interaction, and lastly, set aside food cravings—bye for now, samgyupsal.
On Facebook, online users have been sharing merged pictures—whether it’s an inanimate object or a pet—to describe the food that they really miss at the moment. And seriously, we can totally relate.
When you keep staring at your pets, they turn into something else…
Like a chimken joy
A triple chocolate cake
A grilled chicken (aka chimken inasal)
A siopao just because
A (hot) dog sandwich
A “pandemeow”
And then, these…
Right now, we have no choice but to stay home and wait for this pandemic to be over. But once everything goes back to normal, we will surely be binge-eating!
