After Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte declared the Metro Manila-wide community quarantine last week, a lot of us couldn’t help but express our different opinions regarding his decision. Some agreed on the control measures set by the government; while others criticized him for only “strengthening” the presence of police and military.
As a way of convincing people that he just wanted to “contain the virus”, Duterte advised the public to walk around or “check out” spots inside their respective homes while waiting for this month-long quarantine to be over.
“Pwede kayong magbakasyon dyan lang sa bahay. Ikot-ikot muna kayo sa bahay n’yo baka may hindi pa kayo napupuntahan,” said Duterte.
Since Filipinos are known for having such a good sense of humor, they always know how to find entertainment even in the darkest of times. Despite the ongoing pandemic, these online users were still able to come up with their most creative yet hilarious answers to Duterte’s unnecessary advice.
