How tall is Olaf? Snowman’s ‘actual height’ confuses the Twitterverse

Olaf is a main character from Frozen, an animated, musical fantasy film produced by Walt Disney. The film, which debuted in 2013, has been dubbed as one of the highest-grossing animated films since its sequel came out recently.

Aside from Elsa, Anna, and Kristoff, Olaf is  undeniably one of the most-loved characters in the movie. However, people’s impression of Olaf suddenly changed after a specific tweet about his physical appearance went viral.

On Twitter, @scotthopeful attached a screenshot saying “Olaf went with Anna and Elsa to the courtyard to greet the citizens, and wait for the Yule bell to arrive. While waiting, he borrowed a ruler from a citizen, and found out he was 5 foot 4 inches tall.”

After this shocking discovery, everyone seems to be going crazy over Olaf’s height.

It turns out that the entire idea came from a troll who purposely edited Olaf’s page on the Frozen Wiki just to confuse fans. Since it has already become the talk of the town, Jennifer Lee, writer and director of the film, chimed in and decided to break the ice.

“Okay, I keep getting asked about Olaf’s height. I’m guessing 5’4″ is a typo from something. If it said 3’4″ I’d buy it. How tall is Anna and Elsa? From what I remember, Anna is 5’5″ and Elsa is 5’7″. I could be off an inch or two, but not a foot or two. Xx,” Lee wrote.

Although it was obviously a joke, this should serve as a reminder to always check your sources before sharing it online. InqPOP! Creator Community/Neshelle Callas/TV
