New York Fashion Week drew to a close on Wednesday, ending a vibrant and colorful Spring/Summer 2020 season with an array of suitably optimistic and playful catwalk beauty looks.
We round up some of the strongest.
Colorful eye makeup has been a huge theme in the United States city this season, and Marc Jacobs tapped into the trend in a big way, with a theatrical beauty look that encompassed whimsical drawings, pastel hues and gem studs as embellishment. Vera Wang also opted for a statement eye, sending models down the catwalk rocking stripes of color.
Oscar de la Renta gave each of its models a unique hairstyle, but one of the strongest was this headful of bouncing curls in a light caramel blonde hue. Michael Kors also championed a tousled, wavy look, giving the models deep side parts for extra impact. Side parts were also on show at the Coach presentation.
At Eckhaus Latta, there was sleek, wet-look hair, combed back from the face.
The same trend appeared at Proenza Schouler, where the hair was pulled back neatly. JB
