If there’s one thing to be proud of being a Filipino, it’s our world-class performers that have always been highly-regarded by audiences overseas. We have Hailee Steinfield, Darren Criss, Vanessa Hudgens, and Apl.de.ap (and the list goes on!)—who have all made the international limelight by their own merits. And recently, Valley of Chrome (a Filipino metalcore band) once again wowed the crowd last August 1 as they rocked the 2019 Wacken Open Air Festival in Schleswig-Holstein, Northern Germany.
Proudly carrying the Philippine flag in the photo, the Laguna-based rock band wrote in the caption: “Today, the impossible happened. We are truly overwhelmed. Thank you to everyone in attendance at the Wacken Open Air Headbangers Stage. To all our loved ones and supporters back home, we appreciate it.”
On the day of the festival, V.O.C shared a video of their performance via Facebook Live so fans across the globe could still headbang to some of their songs.
“We are LIVE! Representing the Motherland. Wacken Open Air 2019!,” said VOC.
Valley of Chrome’s successful performance at the world’s biggest metal festival is proof that nothing is impossible. Thank you for representing the Philippines on the international stage!
