Winter has come for ‘GoT’ fans, as HBO launches scavenger hunt to find the six Iron Thrones

“Game of Thrones” is quite possibly one of the most binge-watched series we have today. It’s a show where fans are taken into the epic world of kings, queens, lords, direwolves, and dragons. With the surprising plot twist shown in the last episode of season 7,  fans are buzzing with excitement as they await the fantasy series’s epic finale on April 14.

To keep the hype alive,  HBO launched the #ForTheThrone quest wherein fans could take part in the production’s “worldwide scavenger hunt”. As posted on the official site of HBO, “For seven seasons you’ve watched characters lie, bleed, and sacrifice for the Iron Throne. As the final season approaches, only one question remains: How far will you go?”

The network revealed that they hid six full-size replicas of the Iron Throne across different countries and then, they challenged GoT fans to find these iconic seats of power. This includes the Throne of the North, Throne of the Forest, Throne of Valyria, Throne of Joy, and the Throne of Ice. As of now, five out of six thrones were already found in Brazil, Spain, Sweden, British Columbia and the UK. Hence, there is only one last throne waiting to be revealed.

Only one Iron Throne remains to be found and fans have theories on its location. Here are some of their speculations:
