This cracking glass effect on a glass bridge is all kinds of nope

I don’t care that this bridge is structurally sound enough to withstand varying degrees of forces of nature. What I do care about is the fact that this bridge is almost 4,000 feet high, and whatever prank you pull on people while crossing this glass skywalk will always be terrifying!

For example: In Handan City in North China’s Hebei province, a video of a man walking on “shattering” glass bridge is going viral. Translucent LCD screens have been placed on the glass bridge, prompting it to play the cracking effect whenever someone walks on it. While categorically not a prank, as the cracking glass effect has been added by the management to put another layer of yikes to an already heart-stopping experience, this still falls under the why-the-hell-would-you-do-this group. Don’t worry, though–the bridge’s management assures people that workers check the glass panels daily to ensure the safety of visitors. Yep, still nope.
