MYX VJ Donny Pangilinan, son of actress Maricel Laxa and motivational speaker, radio and tv host Anthony Pangilinan have released his much anticipated debut single “Did You” under Universal Records last July 31 which he co-produced and co-wrote in collaboration with Marcus Davis, a singer, songwriter and producer. In his Wave 89.1 FM interview earlier this afternoon, Donny said that the song was from his best friend’s experience since his really close friend experience it with a girl. As for the song itself, he states that you will be sad if you focus on the lyrics and happy if you focus on the beat. The song is technically more of an “R&B, house and something people can jive with,” he added.
Days before the release, his fans commonly known as the “Donny Fam” got so hyped and excited after hearing the lyric teaser and 6-second video teaser of Did You which the artist tweeted on his Twitter account. The official taglines for #DidYou has continuously trended on Twitter for 3 days straight and spotted on the second spot of the Trending topics nationwide today.
