Cool Japan Travel, THE GUEST cafe & diner, and the Anime Tourism Association teamed up with the Willer bus company to give tourists a unique bus ride experience with this cafe bus inspired by hit animated film Kimi no Na wa or your name. by acclaimed writer and director Makoto Shinkai.

The Willer bus company is well-known for operating two open top restaurant buses in Japan. And now, starting August 3 to September 29, tourists and residents can enjoy their open-air bus ride as they visit the places featured in Shinkai’s film in Tokyo. The whole trip lasts for about 90 minutes.

Kimi no Na wa or your name. is an animated film by Makoto Shinkai released in 2016 and was based from his novel of the same title. It follows the story of Mitsuha, a young girl who lived in one of Japan’s rural areas, Itomori and Taki, a young boy who lived in Tokyo. They found themselves switching bodies several times but when they wake up, they have no recollection of the experience as if they were just dreaming.

The film is a commercial success for its animation and emotional impact. It is currently the fourth highest-grossing film of all time in Japan. It is also the 7th-highest grossing traditionally animated film and the highest-grossing anime film worldwide, with a total gross of more than $354 million.
