Streamer Valkyrae subtly suggests that she was cut from ‘A Minecraft Movie’

Rachell “Valkyrae” Hofstetter recently revealed on a Twitch stream that her “30-second” cameo in Minecraft: The Movie, starring Jason Momoa, was cut.

The famous streamer subtly hinted during a stream on April 6 that her cameo had been cut from the movie, without giving an explicit reason.

“As much as you guys saw the other creators in it would have been the equal among you saw me in it, which is like 30 seconds, so it’s like okay,” she stated during the stream of the recently released film that is based on the same-named video game.

“I would much rather not have that 30 seconds than be sued, so it’s all good,” she continued. “It really was a wonderful 10 days in New Zealand for that 30 seconds and I’m actually really glad I got to visit New Zealand… I feel like things could’ve been so much worse.”

It just so happens that six months before she announced her cameo cut on the livestream, Hofstetter publicly criticized Momoa for his alleged mistreatment of staff members on set. She did not, however, bring up her earlier accusations against the actor in her most recent stream.

Neither did the content creator place blame and said, “It’s not even Minecraft. It’s not even their fault. Don’t worry.” She went on to commend the film, stating that she “actually thought it was good.”

Hofstetter’s previous accusations against Momoa were made during a September 2024 podcast interview with YouTuber JasonTheWeen, when he asked about her “worst celebrity or streamer experience.”

The host of the podcast stated at the beginning that she “didn’t have to say the name” of the person. After saying “I will say the name,” she said, “I would have to say Jason Momoa.”

“I just saw him, like, mistreat some of the crew, and it was pretty disappointing. I do — it was after a very intense scene and a very emotional scene, so maybe he was still in character, I don’t know, but I was just kind of surprised by how he treated some of the crew,” Hofstetter alleged.

The content creator then went on to explain her experience on set with the actor saying that Momoa was mad that the crew were not doing something right. “It was like setting up the shot and stuff. It was just angry. Like really mad and like yelling.”

Warner Bros. Pictures and Jason Momoa have not released a statement yet on the accusations as of this writing.
