Our four-legged companions may not be with us as long as we’d wish, but they will certainly remain in our hearts and memories as some of the best friends we’ve ever had, even in their inevitable departure.
With developer Dreamotion Inc.’s new mobile game “My Little Puppy,” fur-parents are now given the chance to imagine a reunion with their angel pets in “dog heaven.” According to GamingPH, the heartwarming app will be available for purchase globally on Steam this year, in English, Korean, Portuguese, French, and Italian.
The game’s trailer projects that in the gentle universe of the departed dogs, they patiently wait for their humans at the rainbow bridge. The main scenario of the application, however, is the journey of a Welsh corgi named “Bong-gu” who goes on an adventure as he grows eager to reunite with his beloved owner, just like the others already have.
Players will then see a preview of Bong-gu’s life on earth, and reveal his encounter with a kind man who takes him in his care despite his ailments and old age as a pup, further highlighting their strong bond over the years until his eventual passing. The fun of the game begins when Bong-gu suddenly catches the familiar scent of his owner, setting his path to quests filled with challenges to find him on the said rainbow bridge as he sneakily exits the gates of dog heaven.
My Little Puppy tells a universal story in its medium, and delves into the experiences of relationships, farewells, and reunions. The developer suggests that the game aims to provide comfort to dog owners who have lost their furry companions, additionally, reinforcing the belief that paths of those who are destined to be together will find their way back to each other.
Social media users are already anticipating its launch, leaving comments of appreciation as early as now due to the software’s touching concept. Commenters have also shared images of their late puppies, relating with each other and leaving words of comfort in the community’s comment section.
