The ‘Wicked’ dolls made by Mattel caused a buzz around the internet after the toy company mistakenly linked a porn site instead of the movie adaptation website.
The company became aware of the misprint on the packaging of the dolls, which were primarily sold in the United States and originally intended to direct purchasers to the official website of the movie.

“We deeply regret this unfortunate error and are taking immediate action to remedy this. Parents are advised that the misprinted, incorrect website is not appropriate for children,” Mattel said in a statement shared with Variety.
The official website of the film adaptation is ‘WickedMovie.com,’ but instead, the URL listed on the packaging of the dolls is ‘Wicked.com,’ a pornographic website.
The toy company also urged consumers who had already purchased the dolls to discard the packaging of the product or to obscure the link and to contact the company’s customer service for further information.
Photos of the misprinted web address on the packaging quickly circulated on various social media platforms after the premiere of the film in Los Angeles, California.
Some internet users and fans shared their disappointment and criticized the mishap of the toy company.
“Someone dropped the ball at Mattel. You didn’t bother to check to make sure a website you linked to wasn’t a porn0 site? Epic fail. In my day you had to stay up late and see a few scrambled p0rno images now you just enter a link provided by Mattel,” one X (formerly known as Twitter) said.
Another social media user wrote, “Do you know how much of an INSANE oversight that is??? Like HOW do you f*** up this bad.”
The film adaption will come out on November 22, starring Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba and hit pop star Ariana Grande as Glinda.
