K-pop boy band BTS’ comeback might be delayed until next year as their label hints at a potential delay.
During HYBE’s Q3 earnings call on November 5, CFO Lee Kyung Joon shared details about the band’s future plans, revealing that discussions about the group’s activities in 2026 are still ongoing.
“We are still in discussions with the members about activities for 2026, so no projections have been made right now,” Kyung Joon said.
He also highlighted that while a reunion of the band will bring massive sales, HYBE anticipates that all revenue from BTS may not increase as dramatically as before.
The agency will also focus on honing and fostering new talents and diversifying its income streams.
HYBE’s strategy shows the company’s goal of expanding beyond BTS by promoting other artists such as SEVENTEEN, TXT, LE SSERAFIM, and NewJeans.
Fans, however, saw the delay for BTS’ comeback as something to look forward to and that the band deserved to rest after serving in the military.
“Yk what, i’m happy that this is the case, they deserve time to rest and reunite as seven again. a whole album takes time to create, and there [are] so many other things that need to be considered that would just feel stressful to get out in half a year,” one X (formerly known as Twitter) said.
Another user said, “This doesn’t surprise me. It takes time to write the team’s music, choreography, reserve stadiums, schedules, practice […] They need time to just be with each other to laugh, cry, bicker, eat, and sleep in each other’s arms. They need this time without cameras, pressure, and media. We need to be patient and respect their process and privacy. They will be with us as soon as they can. They won’t leave us.”
Not long ago, J-hope and Jin completed their military service, while Suga, Jimin, RM, Jungkook, and V are anticipated to return by June next year.
The band seems to be taking additional time to reorganize before making their comeback in 2026.
It seems the best moment is yet to come for ARMYs.
