‘End of an era’: Internet reacts as Chris Tsuper bids farewell to Love Radio after 20 years

It’s the end of an era as the on-air duo of radio hosts Nicole Hyala and Chris Tsuper has split up after the latter departed Love Radio to work in public service.

Last October 11, the radio DJs made this announcement on their show “Tambalan,” with Hyala becoming emotional with her partner’s abrupt departure from the station.

Chris, whose real name is Adrian Policena, stated that the path he’s taking, for now, is unclear and why he is heading in this direction.

The radio DJ made things clear about his intentions and said, “Wala po akong intention na umalis sa radyo [I had no intentions to leave the radio station] but there are legal requirements that we have to comply with.”

His radio partner expounded further stating, “Chris is leaving because he’s running for public office… [There’s a] company policy that if you’re going to file for your candidacy, it’s an automatic resignation on the part of the person who [ran].”

Hyala confessed that she and their colleagues were “surprised” by Chris’ choice, and she even considered celebrating their tandem’s 30th anniversary.

Chris’ plan was only revealed to her two weeks before he left the radio network.

Upon his announcement, social media users took to the comments to share their thoughts.

One user wrote, “Nakakaiyak Naman sa loob Ng 20 years tambalanista ako every month pasyal ako dyan makikulitan ngayon ganito mangyari talo ko pa nabigo uli sa pag ibig [This is making me cry, for 20 years, I was a tambalanista, every month I went there to have fun, now this happens, it’s like I lost and failed in love again].”

Another user wrote, “Wag Naman kayo ganyan tuloy maraming nagmamahal sa tambalan [Don’t be like that, there are lots of people who love tambalan].”

“We love you always Tambalan. Kalungkot man pero mas masaya kami sa road ng inyong buhay [This may be sad but we’re very happy about the road of your life], a third user wrote.

More social media users commented sending their well wishes to the radio DJ.
