Cast members for the seventh season of Black Mirror have been revealed.
Joining the sci-fi anthology series includes Awkwafina, Peter Capaldi, Emma Corrin, Patsy Ferran, Paul Giamatti, Lewis Gribben, Osy Ikhile, Rashida Jones, Sienna Kelly, Rosy McEwen, Chris O’Dowd, Issa Rae, Paul G. Raymond, Tracee Ellis Ross, and Harriet Walter.
Returning for the follow-up for the Season 4 episode “USS Calister” are Cristin Millioti, Billy Magnussen, Jimmy Simpson, Milanka Brooks, and Osy Ikhile. The narrative centers on a troubled computer programmer who wants to take control of his colleagues by stealing their DNA, feeding it into his computer, and sending virtual copies of them into the USS Enterprise of Space Fleet.
The show’s creator, Charlie Brooker teased fans that they would recognize a “certain space ship from one of our episodes reappearing.”
“We’ve done a sequel for the first time in Black Mirror history. Normally, I kill off all the characters at the end of an episode, and I kept some of ‘em alive. I’m growing as a human,” he added.
The seventh season will consist of six episodes that are set to air sometime in 2025.
Brooker also told fans that the show would be going “back to basics” and channeling the “OG Black Mirror.”
The creator added, “You can expect a mix of genres and styles. We’ve got six episodes this time, and two of them are basically feature-length. Some of them are deeply unpleasant, some are quite funny, and some are emotional. We have to evolve to a place where it’s kind of OG Black Mirror this season. So it’s all sci-fi, techno-dystopia.”
Further details on particular episodes and characters are being kept under wraps as could be expected from the perpetually reclusive dystopian series.
A mysterious teaser video for the upcoming season was released on X (formerly Twitter), teasing a few members of the cast as well as a few additional names that might be the writers or directors of the episodes.
In Black Mirror fashion, the caption reads, “TKCR_Confidential_NotForDistribution.mp4.”

Season seven of Black Mirror, produced by Broke & Bones, was written by Brooker, who also served as executive producer alongside Jessica Rhoades and Annable Jones. Banijay Rights holds the license for the series.
