Blacklist International closes ‘Dota 2’ chapter after two years with ‘Rivalry’

After working with Rivalry for two years, Blacklist International has concluded its Dota 2 story.

The community, as integral as the players themselves, has closely tracked this journey, which is full of successes and setbacks and marking a critical time in Philippine Dota history.

Blacklist Rivalry has continuously pushed limits, starting with the formation of the squad that brought together iconic names in the Philippine Dota community and ending with the incredible achievement of signing one of the top Filipino players, Abed Yusop.

In a Facebook post, Blacklist International stated that “No one can deny that Blacklist Rivalry fought hard to fulfill the mission,” recognizing the steadfast support of both supporters and detractors.

Dota 2’s competitive scene is constantly changing. Therefore, Blacklist International has decided to reevaluate its future.

“As The International season draws to a close, we allowed our players to explore their options,” the organization said,

This choice reflects a commitment to the players and the continually shifting esports landscape.

The contributions made by each player and coach to the Blacklist culture will always be an essential part of its history, even though the current chapter may be coming to a close.

They added, “We are incredibly thankful for every player and coach that has been a part of the team,” emphasizing the significance of their combined work in forming the organization’s identity.

The feeling is still evident as fans bid this era farewell. Blacklist Rivalry’s journey, characterized by unwavering tenacity and resilience, will never be forgotten, serving as an inspiration to all.

Blacklist International assured that their endeavor will continue, as “even the greatest of stories must come to an end.”
