Fans express concerns over BINIverse concert perks, copyright claims on fancams

The upcoming BINIverse concert, headlined by the popular P-pop group BINI, has generated a lot of buzz, but not all of it has been positive. In addition to the controversy over ticket prices, fans have voiced concerns over several issues, ranging from concert perks to copyright claims on their fancams.

One of the most talked-about issues is the VIP standing ticket price, which costs ₱11,195 and includes a “send-off session” where fans can see the artists leave the venue. However, this perk has been met with mixed reactions from fans, who are questioning its relevance. Some argue that since BINI is based in the Philippines, fans can already see them elsewhere without paying such a premium. The “send-off session” is usually seen as a perk more applicable to international artists, making this particular offering seem unnecessary to some.

Humor has also found its way into the discourse, with one fan tweeting, “Kaya siguro 11k yung VIP kasi may send-off session. Baka ihahatid tayo ng BINI sa mga bahay natin.” [Maybe that’s why the VIP costs 11k because there’s a send-off session. Maybe BINI will escort us to our homes.]

Adding to the discontent, fans are upset about the recent spate of copyright claims on videos featuring BINI songs in fancams, especially on platforms like TikTok, YouTube and Kumu. These claims, reportedly made by ABS-CBN Production, have led to videos being taken down, much to the frustration of fans who cherish these recordings.

One fan expressed their concern on Twitter, saying, “Oh my, I feel sad about this one. We still have BINI contents on Kindness Cat – YouTube. We might be the next victim of these copyright strikes. I hope they will have mercy.”

[Oh my, @ABSCBN @StarMusicPH, the Kumu live uploads of the Blooms [BINI’s fanbase] were the reason I became a fan of BINI. You’re so WHAT for doing this. If those BINI core videos disappear from TikTok/Facebook/Twitter, you might say goodbye to the Blooms @direklauren.]

Even live uploads of the group on Kumu have been taken down, further angering fans who feel that their support for the group is being stifled by these actions.

Despite these issues, fans remain committed to supporting BINI and are eagerly awaiting the BINIverse concert. However, they are also calling on the management to address their concerns and improve how they handle these situations.
