BTS’ V spotted patrolling at a festival, astonishes fans

BTS’s V greeting her mid-patrol at a Chuncheon city festival was captured by Lee Ji Young, the original Korean vocal group Big Mama, in her most recent Instagram post.

Lee’s appearance was advertised at the festival, which honored veterans on June 9th as part of Korea’s “Month of Patriots and Veterans” along with other acts of gratitude.

In Korea, June is a month dedicated to honoring, remembering, and publicly recognizing veterans and patriots. The nation honors the loyalty and selfless deaths of fallen warriors and military personnel who served their country on June 6 of each year. On June 25, 1956, Memorial Day was declared a holiday in remembrance of those who served and lost their lives in the Korean War. Every year on Memorial Day at 10 AM, the national flag is flown at half-mast in remembrance of those who gave their lives in defense of their country, and a siren is sounded for one minute.

Lee remarked that even though she had not seen V before, she quickly realized what a handsome guy he is—even off stage.

“Today, after performing at the festival in Chuncheon, I was greeted by a very handsome soldier on my way down from the stage. Soon, I realized it was hoobae BTS’s V. I’ve seen how fascinating he is on stage, but I had no idea what a gentleman he is off stage. He’s even cooler in uniform. I was so flustered that I forgot to take a picture with him, but thank you @kuang_725 for grabbing this video of us.

Wishing you a safe and healthy completion of service and looking forward to seeing you back on stage, too!” Lee Ji Young said in her post.

Since then, the video and additional sightings reported by festival goers have gone viral online.

V, along with his six fellow group members, has started their military service, with the oldest, Jin, scheduled to be discharged by June 12. The group is also celebrating their 11th anniversary on June 13.
