Kim Soo Hyun to release OST for the first time in ten years for own drama ‘Queen of Tears’

Kim Soo Hyun’s latest drama, ‘Queen of Tears’ is currently enjoying success among both Korean and international viewers. It maintains its dominance in viewership, currently holding the second-place position in tvN’s history, surpassing the record set by Goblin.

Kim Soo-Hyun playing Baek Hyun-Woo, one of the main characters in the drama portraying the husband of Hong Hae In (Kim Ji-Won) promised the fans to sing one of the original soundtracks of the Korean drama. In an interview with Newsen, the production behind ‘Queen of Tears’ revealed that the actor had already participated in the recording of the soundtrack because this is their way to show appreciation for the support that the drama is receiving, To repay the love from the viewers, the production team and Kim Soo Hyun worked hard to prepare. This news gained a positive reaction especially from the fans of Kim Soo-Hyun because it has been a decade since he last sang a soundtrack for his own drama “My Love From The Star” co-starring with Jun Ji-Hyun. 

Obviously, fans did not expect this surprise from the actor yet it did not fail to make them more excited to hear his voice after a very long time. 

Fans also pointed out that the cast members of the drama have good voices. Some even requested that it would be better if Soo-Hyun collaborated with leading lady Kim Ji-Won, who also gained attention when fans discovered old videos of her singing.

‘Queen of Tears’ is now approaching its ending, with only four episodes remaining out of the announced total of 16. Fans and casual viewers alike are eagerly anticipating how the drama will conclude, hoping for a happy ending for the couple.
