BINI Maloi is known to be the sweetest and most affectionate member of the rising P-pop girl group. Just recently, she went viral for taking her fan service to Blooms (the fandom’s name) to different heights.
It’s worth recalling that Maloi went viral months ago when she gave money to one of her fans for transportation fare. Now, she has once again entertained people with this unconventional gesture towards another fan.
Fan service is an act or gesture initiated by the artist to show appreciation to their fans. It could be in the form of giving a small token of appreciation or it could be grand as sharpening a pencil for a fan. BINI Maloi leaned on the latter! A video was posted by an avid Bloom on X (formerly known as Twitter). It has already reached 58K likes and 15K quote retweets.
In the video, she was seen walking with a bouquet on one arm as she made her way through a crowd of fans after concluding a mall show in Taguig. A fan extended his arm to hand her a pencil and sharpener, and she helped him.

This unusual ‘fan service’ of course amused her fans.
It turns out that the person who handed her the pencil and sharpener has a friend who will be taking a board exam. The pencil wasn’t sharpened all the way through, and as a follow-up to this amusing encounter, the fan posted a photo of the unsharpened pencil with a comical caption.

On the same thread, the user posted: “Loveyou, Maloi. Sa ngalan mo at ng BINI makakapasa tropa ko [In your name and BINI’s, my friend will pass.]”
One Bloom stated that in some cultures, it was believed that when they ask someone, they highly regard to sharpen their pencil, it brings good luck to the test-taker.
for those of you that dont know, test takers (boards, etc.) usually asks this to previous passers. its a belief of some sort. pa-good luck kumbaga. this is actually so cute (syempre funny pa din WAHAHAHA) https://t.co/oRBbRPknZY
