Released in April 2023, ‘FML’ became the most pre-ordered LP in K-pop, setting the stage for its meteoric rise. The album claimed the top spot in South Korea and Japan and debuted impressively at No. 2 on the prestigious Billboard 200 chart. SEVENTEEN’s global reach was further emphasized as they reentered the Billboard Artist 100 chart at No. 1, becoming the seventh K-pop group to achieve this remarkable feat¹.

SEVENTEEN’s follow-up album, “SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN,” continued the group’s success, securing the eighth position on the IFPI Global Album Chart for 2023. The dominance of K-pop on the global stage was evident, with fellow K-pop group Stray Kids claiming the second spot with ‘5-STAR,’ and NCT DREAM making their inaugural appearance on the IFPI charts at No. 6 with ‘ISTJ’.

In light of this remarkable feat, SEVENTEEN, their dedicated team, and the legion of devoted fans known as CARATs deserve hearty congratulations. Their collective efforts have not only redefined the musical landscape but also enriched the lives of millions around the world. As the curtain falls on another extraordinary year in music, SEVENTEEN’s ‘FML’ stands as a shining testament to the transformative power of artistry and the enduring allure of K-pop.
