Philippines’ latest TikTok sensation returns home from South Korea, almost gets mobbed at the airport

Murahin mo kami [curse at us], Aling Myrna!

The Philippines’ newest social media star, Aling Myrna, is finally back in the country with her entire family for a vacation! Her “grand homecoming” had been much awaited by her fans, “Ka-Petals,” and everyone was definitely excited to see the iconic “Pambansang Inay” finally be back.

Aling Myrna’s homecoming even coincided with K-pop boy group SEVENTEEN’s arrival for their “Follow” tour. And to be honest? Filipino Twitter (or X, lmao) was happier for Aling Myrna than SEVENTEEN. No joke, Aling Myrna was almost mobbed at the airport.

Aling Myrna herself recorded her reactions to the many people who recognized her as soon as she came down from the plane and posted it on her TikTok page.

For those who don’t know who Aling Myrna is, she is a Filipino TikToker living in South Korea with her family, lovingly nicknamed “Robot Family.” She started documenting her life and making her iconic and hilarious videos on TikTok in 2021, with some of them including her most recognizable line, “P******* mo!”

If she’s not outrightly cursing in her videos, she would be documenting her daughter Subin, whom she has nicknamed “Dragonita” for her personality, and her son nicknamed “Pagmamahal.” In other videos, she and her husband Uncle Robot would be the “si OA at si nonchalant” stereotype.

She also has a series of videos on her TikTok titled, “Cooking Ina Niyo,” which is a play on the Filipino curse word she loves saying in her videos.

Aling Myrna’s just too iconic to not miss, you know? We love you Aling Myrna!
