Filipino YouTube personality and TikTok influencer Sammy Manese died on Wednesday, November 29.
Sammy’s sister, Bea Manese, and another close friend confirmed the heartbreaking news on Facebook. “It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we announce the untimely demise of our beloved family member Sammy Manese. May he be remembered for all the joy and laughter he shared with everyone,” she wrote.
“Habang buhay ko tong dadalhin miss agad kita, mahal na mahal kita [I will carry this for a lifetime, I miss you immediately, I love you very much],” Sammy’s bestiend, Yoona, stated on her Facebook post confirming his death.
His friend also mentioned how Sammy provided for them even at a young age, expressing her gratitude and grievance in her Facebook post.
Sammy was known for producing comedy sketches, trending game challenges, and satire content, among other things. As of his death, he had amassed over 1.9 million YouTube subscribers, 1.2 million Facebook followers, and 280,000 TikTok followers.
His career soared even higher when he hit a million views with his video content “Lloyd Cadena Inspired (Mga Eksena sa Jeep) four years ago, which, as of writing, has over 14 million views.
He was made fun of all throughout his career online because of his physical appearance and unusual height for his age due to dwarfism syndrome. According to his vlogs, he also has severe heart disease, which he never further explained.
But despite his health condition, he was able to bring happiness to Filipino people. His content brought funny skits and feel-good entertainment to Filipino social media users.
Filipino fans, friends, and acquaintances were saddened by his sudden passing. Supporters and followers extend their condolences and prayers to Sammy’s family.
As of this writing, the family of the deceased has not yet confirmed the cause of death, and information regarding his funeral has not been disclosed.
