Artists lament the lack of organizer’s support during the Electronic Sports and Gaming Summit

The Electronic Sports and Gaming Summit was held last November 3-5, 2023, at the World Trade Center in Pasay. However, the said event is facing backlash right now as artists are lamenting the lack of support from the organizers themselves.

One user took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their experience at the ESGC 2023.

Their statement wrote, “Now that the ESGS is done, I can finally say that this is the worst convention that I attended this year 🤡Just a short context, I attended ESGS last year and there were tons of scuffed things that they did to the artist alley that time (they gave us a smaller table compared to what we signed in the contract, gave us the tiniest space that they could provide, put the GLOBE TRUCK beside us leasing to lesser visibility and NOT following the floor plan) so yeah.”

The organizers promised that they would try their best to improve the event but unfortunately, they were not able to hold on to their promise as the venue was not ideal.

“It’s just so sad that they are very consistent in letting us feel this way. It’s like they’re really treating us as ‘just artists’ so they always put us in the WORST area. I just wanna say that the booth rent on ESGS is not cheap. We paid P13,700 for you f—ing table so we deserve way much more than this,” the statement continued.

The statement ended by stating, “ESGS, thank you for making the WORST event this year haha I really appreciate your efforts.”

Upon knowing about this situation, curious netizens took to social media to express their disappointment with the said move by the organization.
