Arthur Miguel lets his fans in on a secret at his ‘Mga Lihim ni Arthur’ gig series

Arthur Miguel has been keeping a secret from his fans and he’s unveiling it to them in his “Mga Lihim ni Arthur” gig series.

The viral Filipino singer has recently let his fans in on his magical secret with the second leg of his gig at the Thirsty Barber, San Juan on October 13. In this intimate and exclusive event, some of Arthur’s fans gathered around to witness the talent and soulful performances of the “Ang Wakas” hitmaker.

But before he stepped onto the stage, rising Filipino rock band Dilaw kicked off the show like no other as they performed some of their tracks, including “Maskara,” “Walwal,” “Orasa,” and “Janice.” They continued to build the crowd’s energy and hype them up as the band sang their hit song, “Dilaw,” with fans singing to its every word.

As soon as Arthur came on the stage, he was warmly welcomed with excited cheers from his fans. He returned the vibrant energy and started his set with performances of some songs he covered, namely his recent version of Rico Blanco’s “Your Universe,” Erik Santos’ “I’ll Never Go,” The Script’s “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved,” and Taylor Swift’s “Back to December.”

Arthur continued to create a chill and relaxed ambiance as he soulfully sang “Pasahili,” “Siya,” “Ang Wakas,” and “Paano.” He then showcased his endearing vocals with the performance of his latest track, “Lihim,” where he got his fans to join him do a TikTok video by dancing to the ballad’s chorus.

Speaking to POP!, Arthur shared the meaning behind “Lihim,” which is heavily inspired by the content he sees on the social media app TikTok.

“‘Lihim’ simply drew inspiration from the content I see on TikTok,” he started. “In the app, this kind of scenario and other concepts and topics surrounding love and relationships are quite popular among the Gen Z community and have been viral. And from there, the idea was built and created.”

Arthur also explained how the ballad stood out from other of his original tracks, describing “Lihim” as more magical in terms of its sound and lyrics.

“Personally, ‘Lihim’ stood out because its sounds and heartfelt lyrics are magical and endearing,” he said. “Sure, I have other songs that have a similar concept with ‘Lihim,’ where it tells the story of two people who like each other but don’t have the courage to express and confess their true feelings. But with ‘Lihim,’ the process of writing and creating the song is just different.”

Just like his other songs, Arthur hoped that his audience could resonate with “Lihim.”

When asked about what’s next for Arthur, he simply beamed, saying: “More songs to come that people can relate to. I also want to try dabbling in different genres and hopefully, it’ll be a success, though.”

As a rising artist himself, Arthur also left a message for all the aspiring singers and songwriters who dream of entering the music industry.

“My advice is to just write and then share your talent to the world,” he said. “Right now, it’s much easier to show your talent because we have social media platforms. I’m pretty sure some people will appreciate your craft. Just keep pushing until you reach your dreams.”

What started with YouTube covers back in 2020, Arthur has come a long way in terms of his musical journey.
