K-pop fans have mixed feelings about artists making submissions to the GRAMMYs

The GRAMMY Awards season is coming up real fast and everyone who is anyone is already gearing up for it. That includes K-pop artists.

K-pop as a genre has been going global for quite some time now, and it was no surprise to read about 9 K-pop groups putting their songs and albums up for consideration at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards. Note that this does not automatically give the artists a nomination.

Here are the following groups who have submitted their songs and albums for consideration and the categories they applied for:

While most fans were initially unperturbed by these submissions and were glad to see K-pop artists vying for an award from the Recording Academy of the United States, others deemed that K-pop artists are “trying too hard.”
