EXO’S D.O. to release his 2nd mini album in September 2023

Nobody move—Do Kyungsoo’s about to make his comeback as a soloist.

On September 1, 2023 at 12 M.N. KST, SM Entertainment and D.O. announced that the singer-actor will be releasing his 2nd mini album, “Expectation” later this month. The news immediately made waves online, as many have been anticipating his return to music for quite some time now.

His first extended play, “Empathy”, was released in July 2021 with the lead single, “Rose.” The album included 8 tracks, ranging from Korean, English, and Spanish-language tracks. The acoustic pop and R&B album received praise from critics, with Billboard commending D.O.’s “romantic storytelling ability” and writing that he has “proven that he is in a class all by himself.”

D.O. is also known for his prolific acting career, starring in television dramas like “it’s Okay, That’s Love,” “100 Days My Prince,” and “Bad Prosecutor,” and in movies like “Pure Love,” “Along with the Gods,” “Swing Kids,” and most recently, “The Moon.”

EXO-Ls were surprised with the sudden announcement but were definitely hyped to finally hear new music from one of EXO’s main vocalists.
