Olivia Rodrigo’s upcoming album’s length is being criticized for being ‘short.’ It’s really not

Olivia Rodrigo recently launched the tracklist of her highly-anticipated sophomore album, Guts, on streaming platforms – along with it is the running time of the album, and well… people are not exactly loving it.

The album, which contains 12 songs, featuring the recently released singles “bad idea right?” and “vampire” will have a duration of 39 minutes – an average length for a standard album.

People are criticizing the album for having a “short” duration, especially since this will be Rodrigo’s follow-up album to her hit debut album Sour – which runs for 34 minutes with 11 songs.

However, some people are defending the artist saying that the album’s length is in fact normal, with other artists having albums of the same length or shorter – saying some people are just trying to hate Rodrigo for no reason.

Guts is set to release on September 8.
