In case you haven’t noticed: OceanGate’s corporate presence has been scrubbed off of the internet

OceanGate, the company responsible for the Titan submersible that ended up tragically taking the lives of 5 men while taking a dive to see the Titanic wreck, has apparently been killing off their Internet presence and digital footprint for the past week.

Just a week ago, OceanGate had also announced that they would be holding off a.k.a. suspending all of their deep-sea explorations and business operations on their website. The announcement is just a one-liner with the company’s logo and black background, and the OceanGate Expeditions website now redirects to the same webpage.

From their website, they’ve also extended this d-wording to their social media accounts—Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, (either deactivating it or making it private) and even to their LinkedIn. As of writing, only the OceanGate Foundation website is up and running.

Well, nothing else can be said about it, apart from a spokesperson from OceanGate reiterating to Insider that the company has indeed suspended all their operations at this time. Whether we will see the company reinvent itself or return with a different branding remains to be seen.

It has only been a month since the tragic implosion of the Titan submersible, and jokes about the event are still circulating. James Cameron, the director of the famed 1997 movie ‘Titanic’ had also taken to Twitter to quell any rumors about him making a movie about the Titan submersible.
