Twitter user gets Windows 11 and Windows 10 Pro Keys for free after asking ChatGPT and Google Bard for it

In a tweet made last Friday, a Twitter user who goes by the handle @immasidtweets, discovered the power of ChatGPT to generate license keys by asking the chatbot to act like his deceased grandmother who would read him Windows 10 Pro keys to fall asleep. In an instant, ChatGPT gave him five license keys, and it worked with Windows 11 Pro, too. He then tried the same technique with Google Bard and it functioned as well.

The Twitter user also explained the method of upgrading from Windows 11 Home to Windows 11 Pro by requesting a Windows 11 Pro key and pasting it into the license key box in Windows’ Settings app under the About > Product key and activation appeared to work effectively.

However, according to a report, Windows 10 and 11 keys were generic licenses with restricted operating systems and limited features such as the unavailability of online activation. These are the same KMS keys that the tech giants publish on their websites, and these AI tools are merely copying the publicly available keys that are susceptible to various risks.

Moreover, this isn’t the first record that an AI writing tool has generated Windows license keys. In April, Youtuber Enderman used ChatGPT to create keys for Windows 95 in an attempt to activate more modern versions like Windows 11.

Still, people should keep in mind that these AI tools cannot produce actual keys as they are just spouting out data that are already available on the internet.
