Entertainment company ShowBT Philippines is under fire after fans of the girl group accused the former of ‘mistreating’ P-pop girl group KAIA, which pushed #AnoNaSBT to trend on Twitter.
The Korean-owned company is said to only give a stipend to the group, instead of a salary, despite all the work they put in.
KAIA has been actively performing after the release of their latest single “5678” last March and has been invited to perform in various events including the UNTV Cup Finals and Pirates Music Fest held by LPU-Laguna early this month.
KAIA members Angela, Charice, Alexa, Sophia, and Charlotte were said to have spoken out on their concerns through a messaging app, prompting their fans, ZAIA, to express their dismay over ShowBT’s handling of the group.
In light of this issue, KAIA member Sophia thanked everyone who spoke out for the group despite the uncertainty of the group’s future.

“Thanks to everyone na nagsi-speak out for us. [Thanks to everyone who are speaking out for us.] Never intended for anyone else to be part of the issue but never ignore and invalidate what’s happening to KAIA just because it doesn’t concern you. It’s easy to mind your own business,” she said.
She added, “I love you, ZAIA. Thanks so much for everything. ‘Di ko na rin talaga alam mangyayari [I’m really not sure what will happen next] but we’ll always be here, we’ll find a way to make it work.”
