‘Boys Planet’ group ZEROBASEONE to debut on July

Mnet’s project boy group ZEROBASEONE, or ZB1, will make their debut with the mini album YOUTH IN THE SHADE on July 10 at 6 PM (KST).

The 9-member boy group was formed through Mnet’s reality survival show ‘Boys Planet’, the sequel to their 2021’s ‘Girls Planet 999’ which formed the girl group Kep1er, wherein, trainees around the world strike their chance to debut in a K-Pop group.

The newest boy group will consist of members from around the world including Zhang Hao, Sung Han-bin, Seok Matthew, Ricky, Park Gun-wook, Kim Tae-rae, Kim Gyu-vin, Kim Ji-woong, and Han Yu-jin.

ZB1 will be managed by CJ E&M subsidiary company, Wake One Entertainment, which is also handling Kep1er, and their contract will run for 2 and a half years starting their debut.

ZEROBASEONE’s name represents their journey as separate trainees being completed as one as they debut – referring to their “glorious beginning” starting from zero and ending with one, as stated during the announcement of the group name at the show’s finale.

The title of their debut mini album was first teased during their performance at KCON Japan 2023 and was posted on their YouTube channel.
