A short film about the late K-pop star Sulli may be released soon for streaming

A short film titled ‘Persona: Sulli,’ about the late Korean actress and singer Sulli, is about to be released.

Prior to her passing, Sulli was said to be filming for the second series of “Persona.”

Just recently, an official from the streaming platform confirmed hat they are in talks regarding the streaming release date with Mystic Story, the producer of the short film.

“‘Persona 2’ is a work produced by Mystic Story and is currently under an overall discussion whether to release it for streaming and the final release date,” an official from the streaming platform said.

On the other side of the discussion, Mystic Story then confirmed that they are currently ‘in discussion with a streaming platform regarding the release schedule for streaming of the short film; preceding details would soon be released in the future.’

It can be recalled that an SNS account spotted the release date on the streaming platform for ‘Persona 2’ in Brazil, amid online discussions.

According to Mystic Story, they have completed the first episode, but they find it difficult to expose any details of it amid discussions with a streaming platform.

Sulli, or Choi Jin-ri in real life, got her first acting gig as a kid on the SBS 2005 historical drama Ballad of Seodong.

She became a singer and earned her stage name in 2009 after signing a record deal with SM Entertainment, becoming a member of the girl group f(x). Their top hits consist of 4 Walls, Electric Shock, Red Light, and more.

Sulli was found dead at her home in 2019.
