Isaiah Washington posts cryptic message about Grey’s Anatomy cast’s alleged rampant ‘drug use’

The ‘Grey’s Anatomy’s cast and producers have been drowning in a puddle of controversies after the ABC hit’s former actor, Isaiah Washington, ‘opened up’ about the alleged ‘drug use’ and ‘swingers parties’ during his time on set.

In a cryptic post made on Facebook on May 5, Friday, the ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ alum accused his co-stars and the show’s production team of ‘rampant’ use of alcohol and drugs. According to his side of the story, he stumbled upon several issues while he was on the set of the longest-running medical TV show.

The 59-year-old actor said: “Hmmm…I wonder if I should tweet about the rampant alcohol and drugs used amongst my fellow cast mates and Producers of Grey’s Anatomy and all of the swingers parties that took place? I remained clean for 3 years and declined the after hours hot tub invites, because I was convinced that I would lose my contract with a urine analysis at any moment and lose my dear wife if I got in that woman’s hot tub. I wonder…”

The ‘Corsicana’ star was removed from the hit TV series in 2007 after an on-set dispute with his co-star, Patrick Dempsey, due to homophobic remarks in reference to fellow ‘Grey’ star, T.R. Knight, in 2006. Following the incident, ABC decided to finish off his contract, and never renew it again.

Washington, on the other hand, had denied the accusation and released a public apology.

“I sincerely regret my actions and the unfortunate use of words during the recent incident on-set,” Washington said in the statement. “Both are beneath my own personal standards. … I have nothing but respect for my co-workers … and have apologized personally to everyone involved,” he mentioned in an interview with PEOPLE Magazine.

Meanwhile, the internet slammed the actor for his recent cryptic statement. According to many, Washington, who played Dr. Preston Burke in the first three seasons of the said drama before being kicked out, is not over his boot out, after more than two decades. Here are some of the comments:

On February 28, the actor and film producer announced his on-screen retirement on Twitter. Aside from the ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ issue, Washington has also been called out for showing support for Ku Klux Klan or ‘KKK’, a white supremacist group.
