‘LALISA’ is the first-ever album by a female K-pop soloist to surpass 1 billion streams

LALISA, the solo debut album of BLACKPINK member Lisa, garnered 1 billion streams on Spotify.

According to a music streaming platform, LALISA set a new record for having 1 billion streams on April 29. The album only has two tracks: “LALISA” and “MONEY.”

BLACKPINK and its member LISA are the only K-Pop female acts to reach 1 billion streams on Spotify. LALISA has also set a record as the first debut solo album to reach 1 billion streams on the platform. Its tracks “LALISA” and “MONEY” has garnered 688.7-million and 312.1-million, respectively. Those numbers of streams total to 1,009,925,42 as of this writing.

Lisa’s Spotify channel has also garnered over 10 million monthly listeners. After LALISA’s release in 2021, Lisa’s number of monthly listeners reached its peak at 28,626,697. Hence, this is a highest record number of monthly listeners in 2021 for a solo K-Pop artist.

In 2021, its track “LALISA” reached 50 million streams just 19 days after its release. The track sets a record for the fastest stream as a debut song. The track became one of the biggest debut song streams of 2021 on Spotify, ranking fifth. Lisa surpassed the 4.016 million streams record of “Gone,” the solo debut song of her fellow BLACKPINK member Rose.

Meanwhile, the B-side track “MONEY was ranked as the seventh biggest debut stream. In September, it garnered 3.20-million streams — beating the 2.50-million streams that was set by BTS’ “BUTTER (Instrumental Version)” in May of 2021.

LALISA album ranked as the fourth biggest streamed debut album of 2021. After its 2021 release, it garnered 7.7-million streams. It surpassed the record 5.83-million streams that was set by TXT’s The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE in May of 2021.
