PLUUS is now ready to show their talent to the world.
The group, who officially debuted as a 6-piece group last March 31, 2023 at their 3+1 event (covering their debut stage, media conference, and fan gathering) at the Power Mac Center in Circuit, Makati, was formed by SBTown headed by Geong Seong Han, popularly known as “Tatang Robin,” who is the same producer of the P-pop powerhouse SB19. They are also being co-managed by Kathleen Dy-Go, under the record label, Universal Records.
The members, composed of Justin (The Silent Killer), Theo (The Big Brother), JL (The Nation’s Giant Center), Gab (The Ace Face), Haro (The Soul Captivator) and Yen (The Masterpiece) were trained under the SBTalent Camp with Korean trainer Adie Hong.
“Because of the four years of training, I think they are at par with the k-pop groups,” Kathleen Dy-Go of Universal Records claimed.
After long years of waiting and hardships, they finally released their album titled ‘PLUUS + Y.M.’ which contains three songs.
During the event, PLUUS unveiled their debut tracks, “Amigo,” “My Time,” and “Cross My Heart” along with their music videos.
Showcasing their undeniable talent and charisma, the rookies delivered on their stage performance and presence, with much grace and top-level energy. They also performed an R&B unreleased song titled, “Missing You.”
Before debuting, PLUUS went through an extensive, four-year training. The boys admitted that getting to where they are now was not easy. But with the strong bond they’ve established with one another, their dream seems a lot closer to reality.
“Wala pong assurance kung may mararating kami pero during those hard times [training days], ang pinanghawakan na lang po naming ay yung isa’t isa. I treat not only as my members and co-trainers, but my real brothers,” JL shared.
The band also revealed that all members were involved in the song writing process as well as completing their dance choreography.
PLUUS is a promising rookie group with a vision to follow their seniors’ steps as they move to expand the genre of P-pop to the international stage.
