BTS’ Jimin unveils intense music video for solo debut single, ‘Set Me Free Pt.2’

On March 17, BTS member Jimin finally released the highly-anticipated music video for his new solo single ‘Set Me Free Pt.2.’

The video opens with a close-up shot featuring a troupe of dancers in a circular room who then part ways to reveal Jimin in the middle. The K-pop star joins the group dancing to an intricate choreography as the camera roams around the room that features moving white lights.

The intense music video had fans celebrating on social media for seeing a whole new version of Park Jimin as an artist.

The MV immediately trended worldwide and garnered 2 Million views, only 1 hour after its release.

Set Me Free Pt. 2 is the pre-release track of Jimin’s upcoming debut solo album “FACE,” which is releasing next week, March 24.

The singer previously released the tracklist for ‘FACE,’ revealing that the record will feature bandmate RM as a contributor. RM is credited as a lyricist on two of the songs from the album “Face Off” and “Like Crazy” which are produced by long-time BTS collaborators Pdogg, EVAN and GHSTLOOP.

According to the statement released about the record, “through FACE, Jimin will present his own musicality with distinct timbre and impeccable dance performance.” They added that the album will find the singer exploring his “story of fronting his true self and making a new leap forward as an artist.”

Ahead of the MV release, Jimin also released tracks “Christmas Love” and “Promise” to music platforms.

The K-pop superstar is the 4th member of BTS to release a solo album, after Jin, RM, and J-hope.
