‘It Ends with Us’, a 2016 romance novel written by Colleen Hoover, will have its movie adaptation starring two huge stars in Hollywood.

On January 26, Hoover announced on her Instagram account that a film based on her famous novel will star Blake Lively as Lily and Justin Baldoni as Ryle.

The author couldn’t contain her excitement in the announcement video, saying that ‘Gossip Girl’ alum and ‘Jane the Virgin’ actor are the best fit for the roles.

“Our Lily is going to be played by Blake Lively,” Hoover announced. “Blake Lively, y’all. She’s my dream Lily.”

As for Baldoni, she assures that he’s perfect for the male lead.

“I just thought that he had what it takes to play that character. The good news is he’s gonna be Ryle. So we have our Ryle and our Lily.”

Hoover added that the two have good chemistry, and with their outstanding acting skills, they are just great real-life representations of her novel.

“I think that Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively have what it takes to bring these characters to life,” she explained, in addition to expressing how excited she is for the upcoming movie adaptation.

Shortly after the announcement was made, Lively shared an Instagram story where she got her hair dyed brunette.

Meanwhile, Baldoni reposted Hoover’s video on his Instagram account, writing in the caption, “Here we go.”

It Ends With Us follows the story of Lily Bloom, who is ready to start her ‘after college’ life as she moves to Boston, where she meets Ryle Kincaid, a handsome neurologist. As she is developing feelings for Ryle, her first boyfriend, Atlas Corrigan, gets back and poses a challenge to their blooming relationship.

The movie’s release date has yet to be announced.
