2023 just started, yet, we’re getting a lot of memes! If you look at your news feed as of late, you’ll probably see a ton of memes with a “talks a lot” format.
In case you’re wondering where the meme format comes from, it emerged across social media platforms last year. Based on Know Your Meme, an Encyclopedia-ish site that documents the origin of memes, the premise of the meme is that: someone talks about a certain topic they’re interested in while the other person is just listening to them talk.
It’s basically a wholesome meme that people started to use this format—whether by couples or by people who are talking to their crush and haven’t made a move yet.
Now, the format began to trend again on Facebook, and this time, its purpose is no longer used romantically. From poking fun at Taylor Swift and Lana Del Rey’s collaboration to some of our experiences in everyday life, we round up some of the hilarious memes we found on the platform.
