We may not see Harry Styles play the role of Prince Eric for The Little Mermaid live-action remake, but he still took us under the sea in the “Music for a Sushi Restaurant” music video as a brawny squid man.
On October 28 (Philippine time), the Grammy Award-winning artist released the video for his song “Music for a Sushi Restaurant,” the opening track from his third album, “Harry’s House.”
Sporting a Cast Away-style beard, the video opens with three fishermen capturing a squid man Harry and delivering him into the kitchen of Gill’s Sushi. As the restaurant’s chefs prepare for the squid man to be cooked, Styles temporarily escapes his fate to be served on a silver platter by singing his way out.
Luckily for him, he becomes the singer of the sushi restaurant, but his success is only short-lived. At the end of the four-minute video, he still becomes the restaurant’s main course.
As soon as the video dropped, Harries (Styles’ fans) were left confused and amused over the visual treatment of “Music for a Sushi Restaurant.” And in true stan Twitter fashion, many Harries took to the bird app to express their bewilderment.
