This attempt at scamming people using a famous Korean celebrity’s name is actually wack

People have gone far and beyond with their antics to use people to their own gain, and nobody is safe from these attempts, not even famous Korean actors.

As it is already known to the public, Korean actor Ji Chang-wook is set to visit the Philippines this November 6, 2022 for a fan meeting. The event will be held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena and will be organized by clothing brand, which the actor has been endorsing since 2019.

Then, a certain Chleigh Di (Cleo L. Dimayuga), who claims to have an authorization from Glorious Entertainment in handling Ji Chang-wook, “announced” that the “Suspicious Partner” actor will be holding a fan signing event in Iloilo on November 8, 2022.

Obviously from the post and poster itself, it already looked like a scam. To add more fire to the crazy story, in another (since deleted) Facebook entry, Chleigh Di posted screenshots from her “private” conversations with Ji Chang-wook himself. Scam siya, obvs, but wow this is wild hahaha

MY QUEEN AHAHAHA IBA DIN

Tama ka na sis

Quoting from her now deleted post, “I’m not a scammer, I have not scammed anyone. Ji itself it the biggest “scammed” I got in my life. I don’t need to collect pennies from hardworking people who are all struggling to survive…..Do not worry, I am legit. I am Ilongga, born, raised and educated in Iloilo. I’m Paulinian too, and I value dignity over money.” [SIC]

Push natin yan, sis.

To rectify the information that’s on the viral post, Glorious Entertainment immediately notified the public that what she had been posting is false. “Any event that is not notified by the official ticket seller and promoter (BENCH), including the contents of the ‘CLEO L. DIMAYUGA’ fan signing event uploaded on Facebook, will NOT be held”.

Glorious Entertainment also mentioned that they are closely monitoring the situation to make sure that no one is swindled by the bogus poster.

Fans of the actor have been having a great time watching this turn of events, with their reactions being the highlight of this situation.

Is this how delusional Filipinos can get? If so, we don’t want to be a part of this narrative, thank you. Also, congrats, Cleo! Viral ka na.
