Last September 9, the POP! Team was invited by SM Supermalls to try out a variety of restaurants and cafes at three different branches — SM Tarlac, SM Cabanatuan, and SM Rosales. Let’s take a look at the places we went to and the dishes that caught our eyes and stomachs. Who knows? You might just find your next favorite spot.
Point & Grill (SM Tarlac)
Although this place is best known for their grilled dishes, Point & Grill’s Kare-kare, Bulalo, and Sinigang were some stand-outs at our first stop. If you’re ever in the mood for authentic Kapampangan and Filipino home cooked style comfort food, be sure to check out Point & Grill.
Wanna know the best part about it? Everything is at an affordable price so you’re definitely more than welcome to try everything on the menu here — and you’d definitely want to once you take that first bite.
Delightful Food Fest (SM Tarlac)
Located at SM Tarlac, the Delightful Food Fest hosts different food booths from local businesses. So if you’re ever in the mood to grab a quick snack in between shopping trips, hangouts, or food crawls, then this is definitely the place for it. It’s a foodie’s paradise with everything that they offer from coffee, to cakes, to pastries, to rice bowls, and fried food.
HARVEST Coffee and Bistro (SM Cabanatuan)
This quaint cafe is the perfect spot for chill vibes, good company, and yummy treats. Share some clubhouse sandwiches, burgers, or wings with a group — then grab a drink of your choice with their selection of flavored frappes and milk tea.
Gather your friends and get ready to smile for the camera because you’ll probably want to document your day out in the cafe’s aesthetic interiors as well.
Edna’s Cakeland (SM Cabanatuan)
If you’re on the lookout for a fulfilling meal complete with delectable dessert, Edna’s Cakeland offers just that. Their must trys are: Decadent Chocolate Cake, Frozen Brazo, Sylvanas, and Cheese Rolls. As they are best known for their cakes, trust us when we say that it feels like pure love in each slice.
Coffee Lounge (SM Rosales)
We ended our food crawl by chilling at the Coffee Lounge in SM Rosales. Their specialty coffees and pastries were the best way to cap off the day on an extremely satisfying note. Coffee Lounge also offers non-coffee drinks and smoothies for those who don’t do caffeine.
