Breeze through your book list with the help of Read With Me YouTubers

Are you anywhere near the end of your yearly reading goal? Maybe you just need some help and company–in the form of Read With Me videos!

With a feel similar to study/co-work calls, these Read With Me (RWM) videos can help you get to that book you wanted to read but keep leaving for TikTok instead. These may help create the perfect reading atmosphere (complete with a reading buddy) and motivate you to reach your reading goals before the year ends.

With video lengths ranging from 30 minutes to over an hour, these videos may help you get through your TBR and talk about what books you’re currently reading in the comments. They might also give you some new annotation ideas for your next read.

Having a solo readathon session but want it to feel like a sleepover readathon? Why not try this video with a cozy bedroom set-up and low mood lighting. Who wouldn’t want to read with some Chopin playing in the background?

If you enjoy reading to some funkier music, why not try this video with Animal Crossing tunes playing in the background. More than just that happy beat, hear it mixed with some relaxing rain and campfire sounds as well. Maybe this video will help you finish your book in one sitting just like the YouTuber in the video.

Jack Edwards noticed a lot of people asking him for more motivation to read. This led him to create his RWM series, sometimes titled BYOB (Bring Your Own Book), on his second channel, Jack in the Books. Providing his viewers with some company while they peruse their pages.

If you don’t really like listening to music while you read, maybe a soothing mix of ambient sounds might do. In this 43-minute RWM video, you are serenaded by the relaxing sounds of rain. This YouTuber also uses a kindle to read for all those non-print bookworms.

Or why not get the best of both worlds by reading to a video containing some rain and classical background music like this one?

Let these videos bring you into the right ambiance for reading and maybe make you feel less alone while reading as well. Maybe you can become a read with me-tuber to motivate yourself and others to read more too!
