John Romero, one of the lead creators of the FPS game Doom, is making a new first-person shooter game with his studio, Romero Games. This game will be made with Unreal Engine 5, meaning it will be a new high-quality game.
In a tweet announcing the new game, the Doom co-creator also mentioned that his team is looking to hire new talented people, especially those who are experienced with Unreal Engine 5.

“It’s a new dawn for Romero Games. We’re working with a major publisher to develop John Romero’s next shooter: an all-new FPS with an original, new IP,” says Romero on Twitter. “Our team is expanding, and we’re looking for talented people for all positions and at all experience levels, particularly those with Unreal Engine 5 experience.”
In a screenshot of the Romero Games site, we can see many openings in their company, ranging from programmers, computer engineers, artists, and much more.
The are no more details for the new FPS game Romero is planning to make – no name or release date whatsoever. Romero is still working on a game right now called SIGIL 2. Their last few games released were Empire of Sin (2020), SIGIL (2019), and Gunman Taco Truck (2017), which all had their fair share of mixed reviews.
