Grammy-nominated artist Shawn Mendes is taking a break from his fifth concert tour “Wonder: The World Tour” to focus on his health.
The 23-year-old singer-songwriter postponed three weeks of North American tour dates in Uncasville, Connecticut, to address his mental health. The next three weeks’ worth of shows in Uncasville, Connecticut, will be on hold until further notice. Mendes announced the postponement on his Twitter account on July 9. He wrote, “This breaks my heart to have to say this, but unfortunately I’m going to have to postpone the next three weeks of shows through Uncasville, CT until further notice.”

Upon consulting with his team and health professionals, Mendes acknowledged that he needs to take time to heal and take care of himself and his mental health.
The world tour for Mendes’ upcoming fourth studio album, Wonder, opens in Oregon in June. He was set to continue the time at the Minnesota Xcel Energy Center. Concerts in Nebraska, Wisconsin, Illinois, Missouri, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Washington, D.C. have also been postponed. The tour is scheduled to continue in Canada at the end of July before moving on to Europe, including France and Italy.
Fans’ sentiments on postponing the three weeks tour are divided in response to Shawn Mendes’ announcement. The most priceless, however, are those comforting and encouraging comments towards the artist to be better.
