Park Bo-gum writes a letter to fans as he returns from military service

Park Bo-gum is finally back!

The South Korean actor and singer has made his return from his mandatory military enlistment as part of the Navy Military Band last April 30, 2022. Warmly known to his fans as “Bogummy” and the “Nation’s Little Brother,” Park Bo-gum’s return to civilian life, activities, and return to the small screen have been highly anticipated.

Fans welcomed back “Bogummy” with “open arms” all over social media.

Park Bo-gum first posted a photo of his final salute as a navy sergeant on social media, and later on uploaded a letter addressed to his fans on his official fan website, the “Bo Gum Welfare Department.” In the letter, he tells fans of his activities during the time he was in the military such as exercising, earning certifications for skills (he’s a certified hairdresser now, btw), reading, and focusing on himself.

He ended the letter saying, “I hope that you will be able to spend your days peacefully, smiling at the end of each day with a ‘Today was good.’ or ‘It was great!'”. Fans melted upon reading Park Bo-gum’s letter, and some Korean netizens commented that his words are warm and that he is good at writing.

Prior to his military enlistment, his last role in a K-Drama was a model wanting to become an actor in Record of Youth. In this drama, he starred alongside Park So-dam and Kwon Soo-hyun.

Park Bo-gum’s first activity after his return is to host the 58th Baeksang Arts Awards, reuniting with popular actress/singer Suzy and comedian/comedy show host Shin Dong Yup. The 58th Baeksang Arts Awards show is set to happen on May 6, 2022 at 7:45 P.M. KST.

Welcome back, Park Bo-gum! We can’t wait to see you on our screens as the main lead again!
